Connemara Oceanside Trail Ride

Due to demand form our Clients, we started a new product in 2005.

We  now have a beautiful trail ride package along the Clare coast and also in North Connemara.  The views and landscapes in these two areas are a complete contrast to the rich parkland of Clonshire.

The first part of our trail ride experience is on the edge of the Burren, a landscape and geological formation that is unique in Europe.  The limestone hills and flags of the Burren are home to species of plants only found in the areas of the alps.  The area our trail ride starts in, around Fanore and Ballyvaughan combines the beauty and interest of the Burren with the attractive tranquillity of the north Clare coast.

After a few days here with host John Quelly, on well seasoned Irish horses which are ideally suited in temperament and stamina for a fun and unforgettable trekking experience, we take you on to North Connemara.

Here, under the mystic atmosphere of the Twelve Pins, you get to experience a totally different but equally rugged landscape.  Here also you will get to experience the joy of beach riding along the deserted strands around Omey island under the expert care of Judy  Cazabon.

This trail ride package is suitable for riders and non-riders (though the latter may be a little stiff initially), for adult and mixed groups or individuals.  It is bound to captivate you whether you be Irish, North American, European, in fact from anywhere is the world.

To sit in a pub in the evening, quaffing Guinness or sipping Irish Coffees or even just pure Irish spring water or to lean on the wall outside the guesthouse and watch the blazing sunset, after a day's riding in pleasant temperatures through this green and beautiful land, is an experience not to be missed.

Many of our clients last year combined a few days in Clonshire with the Trail ride experience.  Some started off in Clonshire, to sharpen up their riding first, while others started off with the relaxed experience of the trek and gradually built up the energetic challenges of  the Parkland's  wonderful cross country.

Which ever way you do it, be sure not to miss it. On the trail ride, you will meet the real Irish in the pubs and guesthouses along the route.

But be warned. The hospitality, friendliness and pure fun you will experience, is addictive. many of last year's clients are already booked to come back.
