Well the summer is over for another year and we never did get the great weather predicted but we cant complain as the grass was great so our horses were happy. We had some lovely guests again this year and we hope that they all enjoyed their stay with us.  Our truly international traveler Maddie was back with us again and was as lovely as ever.  We also had the lovely Julia who is in the photo come back for her fifth year, so we must be doing something right!

We also had a number of lovely French girls who came back to us for the third time, Lauren & Ophiele and Tom came to us twice this year!

There were lots of new friends made this summer also with guests from Spain, Italy and America as well as the Irish of course.

The Foley family have been out eventing all summer and enjoyed success with Blue Cheese, Leroy, Loxley, Lorcan and Robbie.

The new stables and indoor are making life much easier on us all, especially the livery owners:) – I even went out competing this summer.

For fans of Bruno, Clodagh took him for his first dressage test and he scored just over 60% not bad at all for a first timer.

brunoandclodaghSome of our guests decided to sit out the dressage but did take part in one of the SJI shows which here held at the centre during the summer.  These were show jumping competitions.

Michelle Murnane and Nero had a great summer with lots of rosettes for both of them.  This is a great team and they won the dressage on August 28th here.  They were in the ribbons with the dressage all summer and Michelle also rode in the SJI showsmichellemichelleandneroneroandmichelleA very successful summer for Michelle on both Nero and Voltaire.  Well done!

Ellen and Katie Haines had a very successful summer also, they did very well on the showing scene, eventing, jumping and dressage!  Shelly and Flash have gone home for a well earned break now.

Well thats most of our summer in a nutshell – if any of you have any information you would like us to add to our blog, please email tess@clonshire.com.
